He did it better than He had to

After evangelizing and pastoring for several years, in 2009 God said it was time to resign from where we were pastoring and to open our house up that following Sunday to worship with whomever God would send. We opened our home up that Sunday and, much to our surprise, the house was full. It was then that we founded and started the Light of Truth Church.

We continued to worship God with our friends and church family at our home for the next six months. Then God showed me a building one Sunday morning as I was getting supplies for church. He said, turn around and see the building that you will continue my work in. We soon moved in and began to worship there for the next five years.

Then, due to super low temperatures which caused the pipes inside the ceiling to burst, much damage was done to the interior and contents of the building, and it was condemned soon after. We then sought God's direction as to what He would have us do. He had us finish our garage, and with lots of help from so many wonderful church family and friends we once again began to have service from our home. We continued with this for one year.

Then God showed us a new location and made a way for us to move into what would be our new LOTC home. He did it better than He had to! We now have a beautiful church and fellowship hall, completely set up and given by God. We have been worshiping here since our first service on April 19, 2015, and God has been so faithful and blessed us with the most wonderful church family of believers I've ever known.

The Light of Truth Church is not a building built with man's hands, but rather it is the body of Christ — the Church — fashioned with the hands of our Lord and Savior Jesus. We are His and He is ours! He is the God that cannot fail.
